KIDS IN ACTION: MY WORLD IN PHOTOS

In an excellent initiative, the AKIAKOLLA FOUNDATION brought the "Ecuador Mi Mundo" traveling exhibition to Newark, New Jersey. This exhibition resulted from the "Kids in Action - My World in Photos" workshop in Chunchi, Ecuador, in 2009, where young minds were taught to capture the essence of their world through the lens of a camera. The exhibition was held at Mantena Global Care, a non-profit organization that provides aid to disadvantaged communities worldwide. In addition, the exhibition received tremendous support and collaboration from the Latin Organization of Liberal Artists (LOLA), an organization that promotes art and artists through local and international exhibitions. Overall, this was a fantastic showcase of Ecuador's rich culture and an excellent opportunity for the people of Newark to experience it firsthand.
